Change camera direction

The camera direction switch button pictured above switches to the default camera in the opposite direction to the one currently in use (if using the rear camera, the front camera will be opened, and viceversa). This button is of course only available if you have a device with cameras on both side of the phone, which is usually the case.

Change camera lens

The camera lens switch button picture cycles between all available cameras in the same direction as the one currently in use (if using the standard wide angle camera, you can switch to the telephoto or the ultra-wide angle camera, depending on which cameras your device has). This button also cycles between multiple front cameras, if more than one is available. This button is only available if there is more than one camera available in the same direction as the currently selected one.

A note on compatibility

Many manufacturers don't make certain secondary cameras available to third party apps. This is an issue that all third-party apps face. There might be some solutions (worth trying out but not recommended because of the involved risks). You might want to check the compatibility of your device on the device database to check which cameras are visible within the app.
