# Volume keys
The volume keys can be mapped inside the app to many different functions. By default, while the app is active, the volume keys double as shutter button, so if you press either one a picture is taken. However, you can customize this behavior.
To do this, on Settings > Camera > Volume keys function
you can choose between the following options:
- None. The volume keys function are not mapped to any function in the app, and therefore control the volume as usual.
- Shutter. This is the default option. Both volume keys double as shutter button: pressing either one will take a picture.
- Shutter/focus. Similar to the previous option: the Volume + key acts as shutter button, but the Volume - key triggers the autofocus.
- EV+/EV-. The volume keys control the exposure compensation (Volume + increases the exposure compensation, Volume - decreases it).
- WB color temperature warmer/colder. The volume keys change the white balance preset: Volume + changes the preset to a warmer one, Volume - changes the preset to a colder one.
- Digital zoom +/-. The volume keys control the digital zoom: Volume + increases the zoom ratio, Volume - decreases it.
- Next/previous camera. If the device has more than one camera in the direction of the current view, the Volume + key switches to a camera with longer focal length (more telephoto) and Volume - switches to a camera with shorter focal length (more wide angle). Note that the app switches only between cameras in the same direction as the currently selected one (if a rear camera is selected, the keys will only cycle between rear cameras, and the same happens with front cameras).
